CENTRAL-SITE SOFTWARE ENGINES
The Brix System features two central-site software engine products: BrixWorx, designed for use in carrier and service provider networks as well as very large enterprises, and BrixMon, intended for typical enterprise-class environments.
Both BrixWorx and BrixMon provide network- and service-wide control, visibility, and analysis for the fully integrated Brix System. Using the Web-based Operations Center user interface, administrators remotely control each component of the system and can easily configure and modify all aspects of the geographically distributed network of Verifiers and third-party measurement sources, including: choosing the desired performance tests and configuring their parameters, threshold values, and schedules.
Once a Brix Verifier or third-party measurement source is deployed, administrators do not need to locally access it again. For Verifiers, BrixWorx and BrixMon automatically load the required system software, tests, configuration and schedules, and even transparently upgrade system software when needed.
The highly scalable and reliable BrixWorx architecture is especially suited for carrier and multi-national enterprise networks, and easily accommodates a million Brix Verifier test points and third-party measurement sources. Fully redundant BrixWorx server and Verifier deployments ensure the constant availability of the most up-to-date performance data. Even if a BrixWorx server or Verifier should fail, or become temporarily unreachable, performance monitoring will continue uninterrupted as operation will transparently fail-over to designated standby servers or Verifiers.
