TeleStrategies' Billing World and OSS Today Magazine named Brix Networks as a finalist in two categories – "Best New OSS Product" and "Best New OSS Company" – in conjunction with its OSS World 2002 Excellence Awards that recognize the best products, services, and companies in the operations support system (OSS) area of the telecommunications industry.

The Massachusetts Telecommunications Council cited Release 1.2 of Brix Networks' central site, service assurance software system — BrixWorx — as a finalist for its "Product of the Year" award as part of that organization’s Sixth Annual Awards held in March 2002.

In its January 2002 issue, Internet Telephony Magazine named Brix Networks' central site, service assurance software system — BrixWorx — a 2001 "Product of the Year" in the category of Performance Monitoring, Network Management, and QoS. BrixWorx Release 1.2 includes pervasive support for Cisco Systems' switches and routers via Cisco's Service Assurance Agent, plus various other enhancements and expanded capabilities.

The editors of Communications Solutions Magazine bestowed one of their 2001 "Product of the Year" awards on BrixWorx 1.2 in the Service Level Verification category. According to the editors in the publication's January 2002 issue, the products they selected to receive an award represent "the most interesting and innovative products in 2001" from organizations that "stand out above the crowd of companies in the communications space."

Brix Networks' president and CEO Tom Pincince was ranked third on Web Hosting Magazine's "Editors' Choice" awards list published in the January 2002 issue as one of the Top 50 people, companies, or products in the industry for 2001.

Brix Networks was cited as a "Private Company To Watch" in the October 2001 issue of CIBC World Markets' CommSoft Monthly newsletter. This publication provides updates on the Communications Software market — including network management, service management, billing and customer care, and enhanced services — and highlights the private and public companies that are changing the way communications services are provided.

The Brix System earned Miercom's prestigious "NetWORKS As Advertised" award as a result of being evaluated in a competitive review of service level agreement solutions that was published in the May 2001 issue of industry trade publication Business Communications Review. Miercom's test engineers determined that the Brix System met or exceeded certain stringent requirements to earn their coveted designation.

The editors of Communications ASP Magazine chose the Brix System in its March/April 2001 issue as one of their 2000 "Product of the Year" award winners in the Network Management Solutions category. According to the publication, all the solutions selected "are the very best products and services in the hosted communications space," and are also "those solutions that are the essential building blocks of a hosted communications offering."

In its January 2001 issue, Communications Solutions Magazine's editors named the Brix System a "Product of the Year" for 2000 in the Next-Gen Networks/Services category.

Boston Internet.com included Brix Networks on its list as one of the region's "21 for 2001." Published on January 8, 2001, this list acknowledged 21 privately held, Boston-area firms that the editors felt were the startups most likely to succeed and most worth watching throughout 2001.
